Add password protection to your PDF
Allow after opening
Password-protect a PDF so only people with the password can open it. Encryption uses the PDF standard security handler (128-bit RC4).
Enter the same password twice to avoid typos. Anyone you send the file to will need this exact password to open it — send it over a different channel than the file itself (for example, file by email, password by phone).
There is no back door. If the password is forgotten, the document cannot be decrypted, so store the password in a password manager.
Files are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
